Heritage Waterhole Rocks

The Heritage Waterhole Rocks is a Rock n Roll campout, held over 4 days, held in conjunction with our local car club, The South Burnett Gas Guzzlers. This annual event is on the 3rd weekend of October at the Nanango Show grounds which is the where the event is held. Now in its 11th year the Heritage Waterhole Rocks continues to grow each year.
Each year we have a great line up of live entertainment, fashion competition, spit roast, Car & Vintage Caravan Show and Shine, Stalls etc that kicks off on the Thursday night and continues through until Sunday evening. For the early birds we have an informal BBQ and live entertainment on the Wednesday night, run by SBGG. Our very large wooden dance floor (sponsored by the Nanango Heritage Community Bank) is an outstanding success, with comments like "It's the best floor we have ever danced on" and "Love the floor”.... so, bring your dancing shoes and swing the weekend away to Rock n Roll music. On the Thursday we have a Spit Roast, cooked by our locals. Live artists keep the dancing going each day. Our Official Opening is on Friday at 6.00 pm, followed by more Rock n Roll.
If a trip down memory lane is what you seek most, then be sure to make time to view our Car and Vintage Caravan Show & Shine on the Sunday. The weekend is always packed with plenty to see and do. Canteen and bar facilities are open over the 4 days, and both powered and non-powered camping sites are available. The grounds have four blocks of toilets and three blocks of shower facilities. Our artists for 2023 were Jake & The Cadillacs, Rock n Riots, Jeff Hancox, Dodgie Rockers, Little Stevie & The Tailfins, Dance On, Rock n Roll Boys, Kenny & The Nitro Rockers, The Blue Suede Band, Johnny B & The RocknRollaBilly’s.
